You get back up after yet another fall. It feels so clumsy. The thing that matters most is that you pick yourself back up every time you fall down, right? So you try again, and fall again. Taking a step back, you sit down next to a friend to talk it over. It’s an unfamiliar problem, and he’s not quite sure how to manage it either. You contemplate your options, providing each other the reassurance that comes with knowing you’re not alone in your struggle. You take a breath, pick yourself back up, and get ready for another go. Without the courage to fail, there would be no progress. Bouldering and life aren’t all that different.
