Introduced to rock climbing by her father at just 7-years-old, Hazel Findlay’s immense passion for the sport of climbing has yet to wane over the span of these many years. Starting on the sea cliffs of South Wales to now having climbed world-renowned lines throughout South East Asia, India, Australia, New Zealand, Morocco, and in North America—Hazel has showcased her indisputable talent and love for tackling hard and heady climbs.

In this MTNmeister interview, Hazel shares her thoughts on the climbing community, lessons learned in dealing with her recent shoulder injury, and her desire to help others in cultivating mental strength in their own climbing.

The mental side of climbing is something that keeps me really passionate about the sport … Often I’ll use my mental strength to make up for a lack of physical strength.
