Hayley Ashburn—a slacklining master and explorer—made her way to the Vajolet Towers of the Dolomites for an epic highlining adventure, which involved backcountry skiiing, alpine climbing, and rigging a slackline on a massive, snow-covered tower. Though she didn’t get the send on this ultra long 50-meter line, she did endure the frigid and windy conditions to get herself the incredible positioning at an altitude of almost 9,200 feet, with 360 degree views from all around her on this slackline.
My goal in life is to show women that they can do sports like this … that it doesn’t have to be so difficult, it doesn’t have to be an area that only men can do. And I think that just showing people that things like this are possible is amazing.
