Every once in a while, we stumble upon a place that embodies the spirit of rock climbing and adventuring, and we have to tell you all about it. The Hostel California is one of those places. THC is a cozy hostel located in the small town of Bishop—the bouldering mecca of California.

If you’re heading to Bishop this season and need a place to stay, this is where you’ll want to be. Even if you’re sleeping at The Pit, you’ll want to stop by and check this place out. You’ll make new friends, take a shower, hang in the living room, meet a really cute dog, climb in the bouldering cave, play beer pong, and probably be fed dinner.
Hikers, climbers, and adventurers of all kinds stay at the hostel. The vibe here is laid back, fun, and friendly. And you’ll definitely meet some characters—including the incredibly friendly founder and owner, Matt—and hear stories that you won’t soon forget.
