No? Well 13-year-old Ashima Shiraishi definitely does … On her short trip Spain this March, this young female crusher managed to send two 9a/+s: Open Your Mind Direct and Ciudad de Dios.
Her ascent of these two routes, paired with her bouldering ascents of Golden Shadow (V14) and The Swarm (V14) mean that Ashima has climbed the hardest grades by a female in both the bouldering and sport climbing realms.
