I started climbing in 1995 and picked up my first camera as a freshman in high school around 1998. I took a bunch of photo classes in school and loved it but it wasn’t until college that I focused on design, art, and business. From there I knew I wanted to start my own business and focus on photo/video in the outdoor industry since it perfectly aligned with what I loved: climbing and photography. I have always shot climbing and I assume I always will.

I’m interested in capturing real people doing real things in hard to shoot scenarios. I prefer to make pictures of people chasing after what they love and fighting for their right to enjoy the outdoors and adventure.

I recently got a photo on the cover of Climbing Magazine, which I had always used as a measure of success but ultimately my proudest moments have come from successfully running large shoots through my production company, Louder Than 11. Owning and operating a growing business is super satisfying and drives me every day to be a better shooter and creative person.

I just go out there, shoot my ass off, as often as possible, and work hard to get my images out into the world for people to enjoy. I am a workaholic and a perfectionist so maybe that sets me apart, but really I just hustle hard, put in the hours, and earn every image.

I use my photography to connect to people and their passions.

Nothing is better then going out into the world and capturing images of talented people doing what they love. I just love taking pictures, whether its on my iPhone or a nice camera and I like to make images I think are cool. Hopefully people like what I make and get inspired to get after their own adventure.
