Time is the Master — A New 20-Pitch Route in the Venezuelan Jungle

time is the master

To kick your weekend off, we’re featuring a wild jungle climbing adventure that will make your latest “hard” approach to the crag look like a walk down the candy aisle.

Encountering miles of thick jungle brush and a sea of seriously choss-infested rock —climbers Eric Bissell, Billy Brown, Jose Ramon Zea, and Alfredo Zubillaga made an intrepid voyage to climb the overhanging North Pillar of Acopan Tepui in Venezuela, last December.

With the aim to climb a new striking 20-pitch climb on this wall, Time is the Master (5.13b A0), these enduring climbers managed to clean and climb its pristine rock and more importantly—catch a sighting of a double rainbow.
