Nina Williams Highball Bouldering in Bishop, California

Nina Williams in Bishop, California

For any of you who have had the pleasure of visiting the incredible climbing destination of Bishop, California, you’ve likely made an appearance on Buttermilk Road —home to some of the most awe-inspiring highball boulders on the planet.

For this week’s Flick Pick, we’re featuring Nina Williams‘ first trip to Bishop, where she takes on some of the Buttermilks’ infamous crimp lines and tall boulder problems. And as an intermission from the sweat-inducing bouldering scenes you’ll experience, you’ll get a brief cuteness explosion from Frankie Von Quillsbury —Nina’s pet hedgehog.

Honestly, on highballs, I don’t want to say that I’m not scared, because I am scared … I cannot allow myself to think about retreat or about falling …  falling is not an option.

– Nina Williams
