Joe's Valley Bouldering Festival

Joe’s Valley Bouldering Festival — Thanksgiving Weekend 2015

Have a deep appreciation for unlimited sandstone bouldering, short approaches, and free camping?

If your answer is yes, then you should—if you haven’t already—put Joe’s Valley on your climbing destination bucket list. Situated just 3 hours south of Salt Lake City outside of Orangeville, Utah, the grippy and diverse sandstone rocks at Joe’s offer problems that suit all styles; making this otherwise desolate area a mecca for bouldering fiends from across the world.

A peek at some of the incredible climbing found at Joe’s Valley:

Divided into 3 main areas (Left Fork, Right Fork, and New Joe’s) that each offer different temperature environments, at Joe’s you have the luxury of seeking out the conditions you want for any given day of the climbing season. And if that doesn’t entice you enough about this place, then the fact that many of the most classic boulder problems can be reached within no more than a 10-minute hike should do the trick. You heard that right: a minimal approach to world-class rocks. Oh, and did we mention the expanse of free camping?
