2:19:44 — Brad Gobright and Jim Reynolds’ Speed Record on The Nose

El Capitan

On October 21, 2017, Brad Gobright and Jim Reynolds broke the speed record on El Capitan’s The Nose route (formerly held by Alex Honnold and Hans Florine) by climbing its 3000 feet of granite in a jaw-droppingly fast time of 2 hours, 19 minutes, and 44 seconds.

This week’s Friday Flick Pick captures a timelapse of this absolutely incredible superhuman feat.
